Halowe Mistrzostwa Świata w Lekkiej Atletyce Kujawy Pomorze 26 to nie tylko rekordy na bieżni

W ramach programu Athletics for a Better World, wdrażanego przez głównego organizatora Mistrzostw World Athletics, Województwo, jako gospodarz, zorganizowało różne wydarzenia towarzyszące Mistrzostwom. Walk the Dog to akcja, która odbyła się w dniu 18 marca 2026 roku na ternie Schroniska dla Bezdomnych Zwierząt w Toruniu oraz Parku Miejskiego na Bydgoskim Przedmieściu. Wzięli w niej udział przedstawiciele World Athletics, wolontariusze Mistrzostw, sportowcy, Ambasador zrównoważonych Mistrzostw, lekkoatleta Paweł Wojciechowski.

Pokazaliśmy, że spacer z psem to idealna forma regeneracji psychicznej i fizycznej w trakcie napiętego grafiku Mistrzostw, promując jednocześnie wolontariat oraz zachęcając do adopcji psów ze schronisk na całym świecie. Sport to nie tylko rywalizacja, ale też empatia i dbanie o lokalną społeczność regionu Pomorza i Kujaw.

Przedstawiamy efekt końcowy akcji w formie galerii zdjęć. Podczas Walk the Dog zorganizowana została również profesjonalna sesja zdjęciowa dla wszystkich uczestników.

The World Indoor Athletics Championships Kujawy Pomorze 2026 were not only about records on the track.

As part of the Athletics for a Better World program implemented by the main organizer of the Championships, World Athletics, the Region, as host, organized a range of accompanying events. Walk the Dog was an initiative held on March 18, 2026, at the Animal Shelter in Toruń and the Municipal Park in the Bydgoskie Przedmieście district. It was attended by representatives of World Athletics, Championship volunteers, athletes, and the Sustainable Championships Ambassador, pole vaulter Paweł Wojciechowski.

We showed that walking a dog is a perfect way to support both mental and physical recovery during the intense Championship schedule, while also promoting volunteering and encouraging the adoption of shelter dogs worldwide. Sport is not only about competition, but also about empathy and caring for the local community of the Kujawy and Pomorze region.
