Hop Aboard for a Summer Train Adventure!
Throughout the summer holidays, travellers can conveniently reach the Baltic coast, the Tuchola Forests and popular local swimming spots by trains funded by the regional self-government. We invite you to take advantage of the summer offer from our regional passenger rail services.

Hel Peninsula
The Marshal’s summer train “Latarnik” (“The Lighthouse Keeper”) departs from Bydgoszcz Główna and stops in Gdańsk, Sopot and Gdynia, as well as at the popular resorts of the Hel Peninsula – Kuźnica, Chałupy, Jastarnia and Jurata.
The service is designed to allow passengers to spend the entire day on the Hel Peninsula and return to Bydgoszcz in the evening. This popular connection is operated by Arriva RP.
The carrier is offering promotional fares:

Tuchola Forests
Kayaking enthusiasts, nature lovers and anyone looking to relax by the water can head to the Tuchola Forests aboard our summer train “Borsuk” (“Badger”).
The train departs from Toruń Główny and travels via Chełmża, Grudziądz, Laskowice Pomorskie, Tleń and Szlachta, before reaching Czersk in the Pomeranian Voivodeship.

The West Coast
The summer timetable also includes “Rybitwa” (“Tern”), a seasonal weekend direct service to Kołobrzeg.
“Rybitwa” timetable
The seasonal service is complemented by a direct weekday train from Bydgoszcz to Kołobrzeg, running from Monday to Friday.
There is also a direct rail connection to Szczecin. The “Barnim” service is co-financed by the regional self-governments of the Kujawsko-Pomorskie, Greater Poland and West Pomeranian Regions. The train departs daily from Bydgoszcz Główna for Szczecin, the capital of the West Pomeranian Region.

Passengers can also use our regional trains to reach popular local leisure destinations, including:

- Kamionki (Toruń County)
- Iława (Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship)

In 2026, the regional self-government will provide a record PLN 267 million in funding to the railway operators selected through the tender procedure, Arriva and Polregio. This amount also includes the costs of access to railway infrastructure and station charges, which account for PLN 37 million.
The regional self-government currently operates a fleet of 33 trains, which will be expanded next year with additional trainsets manufactured by Pesa in Bydgoszcz. The seven trainsets ordered by the regional self-government have a total value of PLN 330 million.
