Kujawsko-Pomorskie by Bike – Chrostkowo Buzzed with Sporting Energy (Photos)
On 17 May, Chrostkowo turned into a true capital for cycling enthusiasts. More than 200 participants gathered at the starting line, including both younger and older fans of active recreation. A family-friendly atmosphere, excellent organization, and favorable weather allowed cyclists to fully enjoy the picturesque landscapes of the Dobrzyń Land. The route led through Obory, Rudusk, Zbójno, Kawno, Wildno, and Janiszewo. Registration for upcoming rallies is still open.
For the sixteenth time, the kujawsko-pomorskie Voivodeship invites cycling enthusiasts to take part in the Kujawsko-Pomorskie by Bike series of events.
“Residents of Kujawy and Pomorze are increasingly choosing bicycles as their main form of active recreation. It is a perfect way to discover the charming corners of our region. I encourage entire families to join the rallies,” says Marshal Piotr Całbecki.
Participants were welcomed by Vice-Marshal Aneta Jędrzejewska and the mayor of the Chrostkowo municipality, Mariusz Lorenc. The rallies are not only about sport and recreation, but also provide a great opportunity to discover lesser-known parts of the region and spend time with family and friends. Organizers remind participants that starter packs can be collected before each rally. These include a participant number, commemorative gadgets, and informational materials about the route.
The next event will take place on 20 June – the Piast Cycling Rally on the route from Pakość to Kościelec (Inowrocław County), combining active recreation with the discovery of the history of the Piast Trail.
The following month (25–26 July), the Jakub Cycling Relay is planned – a two-day expedition along the route Dobrzyń nad Wisłą – Dobre – Kruszwica – Mogilno.
Additional rallies will take place in August: on 8 August in Strzelno (Mogilno County), promoting local tourism and Romanesque heritage sites, and on 14 August, a surprise rally.
The longest rally, organized as part of the cycling initiative “Eskapada. Discover Your Region with a Guide,” is scheduled for 11–13 September. It will feature more than 200 kilometers of routes for experienced cyclists, combined with discovering local history, nature, and attractions. Organizers are preparing unique attractions for participants, with details to be announced soon.
The season finale will be a rally starting in Cekcyn on 3 October, leading through the picturesque landscapes of the Tuchola Forest.
