Dedicated to serving local residents, bringing people together, and turning ideas into concrete actions – on 7 May, a ceremonial presentation of honorary badges to village heads from Grudziądz County took place at the Municipal Centre for Culture and Sport in Mały Rudnik. “Village heads are a very important part of local administration – the level of governance closest to rural residents, rooted directly in neighbourhood communities. That is why we make every effort to ensure that people performing this socially mandated role receive the recognition they deserve,” emphasized Marshal Piotr Całbecki.

During yesterday’s ceremony, honorary badges were awarded to 41 village heads. The distinctions are an expression of appreciation for their everyday work for local communities, their commitment to rural development, and their efforts in strengthening neighbourly ties.

The ceremony was attended by Regional Councillors Michał Czepek, Robert Malinowski, and Paweł Zgórzyński, who highlighted in their speeches the important role local leaders play in building strong rural communities.

The meeting in Mały Rudnik also provided an opportunity for discussions and exchange of experiences.
