Anniversary Carriage Driving Competition in Lubostroń

This Sunday (August 23), Lubostroń will once again become the setting for a special celebration of the tradition of historic carriage driving. The palace park will host the 30th Carriage Driving Competition, an event that has attracted horse and vintage carriage enthusiasts for many years.

The programme will begin with the opening of the exhibition “The Artist’s Home and Friends – The Horse in Artistic Imagination.” This will be followed by a parade and presentation of the carriages, as well as a competition in which the elegance of the historic horse-drawn vehicles will be judged. The highlight will be the spectacular “Carriage Driving” competition, featuring a timed obstacle course.

“Historic carriages, elegant costumes, music and the beauty of the Lubostroń park create a unique atmosphere for this event. It is a celebration of history and tradition that has attracted enthusiasts of historic carriage driving for years, as well as entire families,” says Marshal Piotr Całbecki.

The event will also feature concerts by the “Kujawia” Youth Wind Orchestra, accompanied by the Bysław Majorettes. The organizers have also prepared a relaxation area, attractions for children, food stalls, as well as a fair and a variety of market stalls. Admission is free.

Held in the exceptional setting of the Lubostroń palace and park complex, the competition offers an opportunity to experience the traditions of a bygone era – the art of historic carriage driving and the presentation of vintage horse-drawn carriages.
