Pozytywka Festival Celebrates Its Tenth Edition
For a decade, the Magical Festival of Fairy Tales and Stories has been bringing entire families to Bydgoszcz to enjoy art, theatre and extraordinary stories. On Thursday (27 August), with Vice-Marshal of the Region Zbigniew Ostrowski in attendance, the jubilee 10th edition of the Pozytywka Festival got underway. The event receives financial support from the regional self-government.
The jubilee edition marks an important moment in the festival’s history. Over ten years, Pozytywka has grown from a local initiative into one of Poland’s best-known family events. Each year, it demonstrates that culture created with children in mind can offer a high artistic standard, engage entire families and create opportunities for sharing emotions and experiences.
This year’s programme featured more than 30 events held in city squares, parks, cultural institutions and theatre venues. Audiences could enjoy outdoor and intimate performances, concerts, workshops, artistic activities and events prepared especially for the youngest audiences, including children aged 0 – 5.
From the very beginning, Pozytywka has focused on diversity and an international character. During the jubilee edition, artists from Poland and abroad performed in Bydgoszcz, presenting shows that combine theatre, music, movement, new forms of expression and street art.
The tenth edition was also a celebration of everyone who has helped create Pozytywka over the years – artists, partners, volunteers, sponsors and, above all, the audience. Thanks to their commitment, the festival has become one of Poland’s leading events promoting culture for children and families.
