A Decade with Pozytywka! Four Days of Theatre, Music and Great Fun Ahead in Bydgoszcz

For the past ten years, the Magical Festival of the World of Fairy Tales and Stories has been attracting entire families interested in art, theatre and extraordinary stories to Bydgoszcz. The anniversary 10th edition of the Pozytywka Festival, taking place from 27 to 30 August, invites children and adults alike to Bydgoszcz for a shared journey through the world of fairy tales, music, theatre and boundless imagination.

– “Pozytywka” is a unique celebration created with the youngest audiences in mind. We invite young spectators and their families to Bydgoszcz for an encounter with theatre. These few days will be an opportunity for children to have fun together and for adults to return to the world of childhood imagination – says Marshal Piotr Całbecki.

The anniversary edition marks an important moment in the festival’s history. Over the past ten years, Pozytywka has grown from a local initiative into one of the most recognisable family events in Poland. Every year it proves that culture created with children in mind can offer a high artistic standard, engage entire families and provide a space for sharing emotions and experiences together.

This year’s programme features more than 30 events taking place in city squares, parks, cultural institutions and theatre venues. Audiences can look forward to outdoor and intimate performances, concerts, workshops, artistic activities and events prepared especially for the youngest participants, including children aged 0–5.

From the very beginning, Pozytywka has focused on diversity and an international character. During the anniversary edition, artists from Poland and abroad will perform in Bydgoszcz, presenting shows that combine theatre, music, movement, new forms of expression and street art. The festival will also provide an opportunity to discover new cultures.

The tenth edition is also a celebration of everyone who has helped create Pozytywka over the years – artists, partners, volunteers, sponsors and, above all, the audience. Thanks to their commitment, the festival has become one of the most important events promoting culture for children and families in Poland.

Admission to all outdoor events is free of charge. Tickets for performances held at indoor venues and registration for workshops are available on the festival website. The organisation of the event is supported by the Kujawsko-Pomorskie regional government.
