We Will Reward the Best NGO Initiatives
In the Marshal’s Office competition “Rodzynki z pozarządówki” (“Hidden Gems of the NGO Sector”), we will recognize the best projects carried out by third-sector organizations in the Kujawsko-Pomorskie Region. The total prize fund amounts to PLN 40,000. Applications are open until June 15. We encourage all eligible organizations to participate.

“Non-governmental organizations operating in the Kujawsko-Pomorskie Region are important partners of the regional self-government in almost every area of social and economic life. We benefit from their knowledge and experience, making our joint initiatives more effective and efficient. The idea behind the „Rodzynki z pozarządówki competition” is to support smaller organizations, often based primarily on volunteer work, that carry out interesting and innovative projects,” emphasizes Marshal Piotr Całbecki.
The competition is open to, among others, associations, foundations, sports clubs, rural housewives’ associations, volunteer fire brigades, and institutions of the Catholic Church and other churches and religious organizations conducting public-benefit activities.
Participants must be:
- The direct implementers of the submitted project (social initiative),
- Based and operating within the Kujawsko-Pomorskie Region,
- Organizations with annual revenues not exceeding PLN 500,000.
The prizes are monetary. The total prize pool this year is PLN 40,000. In addition, a special award from the Public Benefit Activity Council of the Kujawsko-Pomorskie Region will be granted in the amount of PLN 5,000.

The application deadline is June 15 (the date of receipt by the Office is decisive).
Last year’s winners included: Współ.gra Association of Art Creators (Bydgoszcz), Rural Housewives’ Association in Cielęta (Brodnica County), Makowo Foundation (Świecie), WLC24.TV Association – Video Portal of Better Opportunities (Włocławek), PRO FUTURO Association (Lipno County), Association 553 (Toruń County), Emerald Peacock Association (Aleksandrów County) and Entrepreneurship Support Centre in Lipno.
Organizations that received awards in the previous four editions:

are not eligible to participate in this year’s competition.
Each year, the Marshal’s Office supports projects implemented by non-governmental organizations in the fields of culture, sports, addiction prevention, social assistance, healthcare, tourism, activities for people with disabilities, and the development of civil society. This year, nearly PLN 10 million has been allocated to support NGO initiatives across the region.
Within the structure of the Marshal’s Office, the Office for Cooperation with Non-Governmental Organizations operates as a dedicated support unit. Important consultative and advisory roles are also played by the Assembly of Non-Governmental Organizations of the Kujawsko-Pomorskie Region and the Public Benefit Activity Council of the Kujawsko-Pomorskie Region.
