Tofifest 2026: The First Screenings Are Underway (Photos)
Vice-Marshal of the Kujawsko-Pomorskie Region Zbigniew Ostrowski and Chair of the Regional Assembly Elżbieta Piniewska were the guests of honour at the official opening ceremony of the 24th edition of the Tofifest International Film Festival on Saturday (27 June). During the ceremony, Toruń-born actress Magdalena Czerwińska received the Marshal’s Film Award.
On the festival’s second day (28 June), the premiere of The Road Less Traveled, directed by Zuzanna Grabowska, took place at the Jordanki Cultural and Congress Centre in Toruń. The film was co-financed by the Kujawy Pomorze Film Fund and was shot in locations across the Kujawsko-Pomorskie Region.
During the opening gala, Golden Angel Awards were presented to:
- Tomasz Schuchardt
- Agata Kulesza
- Agata Turkot
A Golden Angel Award was also presented to Dorota Stalińska, who is celebrating the 50th anniversary of her artistic career this year.
This year’s Tofifest programme features more than 130 screenings. Fifteen films will compete for the Audience Golden Angel Award.
The Tofifest Festival runs until 3 July.
