This is what traffic on regional roads looks like
The 2025 General Traffic Survey has been completed. The results show that traffic volumes on regional roads are comparable to those recorded five years ago, with the heaviest traffic found on routes connecting Bydgoszcz with the expressway network.
Measurements were carried out throughout last year at 242 locations on regional roads across the region. Based on the data collected, the average daily traffic volume was calculated at 3,646 vehicles. This figure is similar to the result recorded five years ago, when the average was 3,609 vehicles per day.
The highest traffic volumes were recorded on regional roads in the Bydgoszcz area. These include Regional Road No. 223 between Bydgoszcz and Białe Błota, used by an average of 28,000 vehicles every day, Regional Road No. 239 leading to the Bydgoszcz Południe junction, where more than 27,000 vehicles per day were recorded, and the Jastrzębie–Bydgoszcz section of Regional Road No. 239, carrying 24,000 vehicles per day.

- Aleksandrów Kujawski (Regional Road No. 266),
- Brodnica (Regional Road No. 560),
- Złotoria (Regional Road No. 654),
- Tuchola (Regional Road No. 240),
- Żnin (Regional Road No. 251),
- Nakło nad Notecią (Regional Road No. 241).
General traffic surveys are conducted every five years. They make it possible to determine how traffic is distributed and which routes carry the heaviest volumes. The information collected is useful, among other things, for planning investments, road repairs and changes in traffic organisation.
