Festivals, concerts and exhibitions with regional government support

Music festivals and concerts, film showcases, theatre and radio workshops, and art exhibitions – more than PLN 1 million from the regional budget has been allocated this year to support 74 diverse cultural events across our region.

– Culture is an integral part of every society. It provides us with unique emotions, contributes to our personal development and helps build a sense of community. We are proud that, as the regional government, we are able to support exceptional cultural initiatives that make our region an even more beautiful place – says Marshal Piotr Całbecki.

Among the supported events are the 24th Bydgoszcz Jazz Festival, the Muzyka u Źródeł Festival in Bydgoszcz, the 24th BellaTOFIFEST International Film Festival, the 19th “Pola i inni” Film Showcase in Lipno, the 35th Final of the Sung Poetry Tournament held as part of the 71st National Recitation Competition in Włocławek, and the Concert on the Water in Nieszawa (Aleksandrów County).

Grants in figures:

• highest individual grant: PLN 65,000
• current annual budget for NGO projects in all fields: PLN 10 million

Every year, the regional government provides financial support for projects carried out by non-governmental organisations in the fields of social policy, culture, sport, addiction prevention, healthcare, tourism and activities supporting people with disabilities.

This year, as a result of 37 grant competitions held so far, we have distributed PLN 10 million to finance 538 projects prepared by 497 public benefit organisations.
