Summer in the Heart of Nature: Brodnicki Landscape Park

We invite everyone to spend part of their summer in one of the ten landscape parks located throughout the Kujawsko-Pomorskie Region. These areas offer exceptional natural beauty and outstanding opportunities for recreation, making them ideal destinations for a summer getaway. Throughout the holiday season, directors and staff of the region’s landscape parks will present their unique attractions in a series of short videos. Today, Sławomir Seroka, Director of the Brodnicki Landscape Park, invites visitors to discover one of the region’s most picturesque protected areas.

“The scenic Drwęca River flows through the Brodnicki Landscape Park and hosts numerous canoeing trips. (…) It is a wonderful place to experience peace and tranquillity, and to enjoy what is known as a ‘forest bath’. (…) Here you can listen to nature, breathe in the scent of the forest, and feel time slow down,” says Director Sławomir Seroka, describing the park’s natural and recreational attractions.

“Landscape parks are one of the greatest treasures of our region. They offer magnificent natural environments with rare species of plants and animals, excellent conditions for hiking and water-based recreation, numerous rivers and lakes, as well as fascinating examples of cultural heritage. Each of our parks is a wonderful place to relax, and their unique charm encourages visitors to return time and again,” adds Piotr Całbecki, Marshal of the Kujawsko-Pomorskie Region.

Brodnicki Landscape Park is home to more than 40 lakes and eight nature reserves, as well as numerous rare species of plants and animals. It is an ideal destination for active recreation, with its natural treasures best explored along the park’s educational nature trails. Visitors can discover the area on foot, by bicycle or by canoe, with routes designed to suit different age groups and levels of experience.

Each year, nearly 4,000 visitors – primarily school and preschool children participating in educational programmes and Green School activities – take part in environmental education programmes organised by the staff of the Brodnicki Landscape Park.
