Regional Parliament session on Monday
The next session of the Regional Parliament of the Kujawsko-Pomorskie Region is scheduled for Monday (20 April). The agenda includes, among others, reports on the activities of the National Labour Inspectorate and the situation on the regional labour market. The session will be streamed online from 11:00 a.m.
Councillors will also be presented with a report on the implementation of the regional programme for persons with disabilities up to 2030, as well as a report on initiatives aimed at creating conditions conducive to the development of sport.
The agenda will also include a draft resolution on granting financial assistance in the form of a targeted subsidy as part of a call for applications from municipalities, intended for water companies to co-finance tasks related to the ongoing maintenance of water drainage infrastructure in 2026. As part of the call announced by the resolution of the Kujawsko-Pomorskie Regional Executive Board, 67 applications were submitted by municipalities for a total amount of PLN 1,675,245.00. Grants were awarded to all municipalities that met the formal and substantive criteria.
Councillors will also consider a draft resolution on granting consent to waive the tender procedure for extending the lease agreement for a property. The draft concerns the lease of a property located in Toruń at 1 Piastowska Street and 2 Plac 18 Stycznia, by the Medical Centre “OLK-MED” Sp. z o.o., based in Toruń. The tenant has requested consent to extend the lease period in order to enable the implementation of the project titled “Support for Primary Healthcare (PHC)” under the European Funds for Infrastructure, Climate and Environment 2021-2027 programme. The Medical Centre indicated that it provides primary healthcare services to over 7,000 residents of the region, and that obtaining funding for the purchase of modern equipment and furnishings, as well as refurbishment of the premises, will significantly improve the quality of services provided to patients.
The agenda of the April session also includes a draft resolution on granting financial assistance to the Municipality of Żnin. The targeted subsidy from the Kujawsko-Pomorskie Region budget will be used to cover part of the operating costs of the branch of the Pałuki Region Museum – the Żnin Narrow-Gauge Railway – during the current tourist season (May/June).
Moreover, during the session, the Regional Parliament will consider draft resolutions amending resolutions concerning the Protected Landscape Area of the Ciechocinek Lowlands and the Protected Landscape Area of Lake Głuszyńskie. Adoption of the final resolutions will enable the relevant authorities, including nature conservation bodies, to shape environmental policy and manage natural and landscape resources in a rational manner, in accordance with the principle of sustainable development. However, in accordance with the Nature Conservation Act, the proposed amendments must first be submitted to the relevant municipal councils and the competent Regional Director for Environmental Protection for approval.
