Midsummer Night Is Behind Us!

A cool breeze, traditional songs and a wonderful atmosphere accompanied residents and tourists celebrating together yesterday (23 June) during the “Wianki nad Wisłą” picnic at the Vistula Riverside Meadows in Grudziądz.

Participants took part in wreath-making workshops, enjoyed folk music concerts and celebrated the shortest night of the year together. The programme also included the traditional floating of wreaths on the river, Vistula cruises, regional cuisine and stalls run by local artisans.

And on 4 July, we invite everyone to Żnin for another event. Visitors will be able to enjoy concerts, workshops, family activities and opportunities to discover the region’s unique attractions.

The “Summer in the Constellations” project is a regional tourism promotion campaign created by the Kujawsko-Pomorskie Tourist Organization. It is built around nine of the region’s most attractive destinations: Toruń, Bydgoszcz, the Tuchola Forest, the Lower Vistula Valley, Kuyavia, Pałuki, the Brodnica Lake District, Kociewie, the Dobrzyń Land, the Chełmno Land and Krajna. The initiative brings together local governments, institutions and regional partners to create a coherent tourism offer for the voivodeship. It is an invitation to explore Kuyavia and Pomerania – a region full of remarkable places worth visiting.

The first events of the summer campaign, “Kujawsko-Pomorskie Constellations of Good Places,” held under the patronage of Marshal Piotr Całbecki, took place in May. Residents and tourists gathered at the Vistula Tidings picnic in the Fordon district of Bydgoszcz and at the opening of the tourist season in Brodnica under the slogan “Give Yourself Peace.”

Last weekend in Tleń was also packed with attractions. Kayaking trips, cycling tours, family activities, regional delicacies and an evening concert allowed participants in “Summer in the Constellations” to spend time actively and close to nature.
