Lights, Camera, Kujawsko-Pomorskie!
The second edition of the “Following the Constellation” competition, organised by the Kujawsko-Pomorskie Tourist Organisation, has officially begun. This year’s edition features a unique theme, inviting participants to follow in the footsteps of filmmakers and visit locations across the region that have served as filming sites for well-known films and television series.
The competition forms part of the Year of Film People from Kujawy and Pomorze, established by the Kujawsko-Pomorskie Regional Assembly. It offers an opportunity to discover the region from a completely new perspective and to see how Kujawy and Pomorze have inspired filmmakers for decades, providing the backdrop for numerous cinematic stories.
Participants receive a specially prepared map featuring 16 stamping locations spread throughout the Kujawsko-Pomorskie Region. By visiting these sites, they can collect stamps while discovering interesting facts about films, television productions, and distinguished figures from the world of cinema connected with the region.
After collecting at least eight stamps, participants may enter the competition by submitting an original written proposal describing their own idea for a film that could be set and produced in the Kujawsko-Pomorskie Region.
The competition offers attractive prizes, including gifts and vouchers for stays at tourist accommodation across the region.
“Last year’s edition showed that both residents and visitors enjoy discovering Kujawy and Pomorze through shared experiences and fun. This year, we want to combine travel with the excitement of cinema. Every stamp collected is not only a step closer to winning a prize, but also an opportunity to discover places with remarkable stories that have helped shape the cinematic landscape of our region for many years,” said Beata Sawińska, President of the Kujawsko-Pomorskie Tourist Organisation.
The competition runs until 31 October.
