Consultations on the Regional Development Strategy in the Lipno and Włocławek Counties

Marshal Piotr Całbecki is visiting municipalities in the Lipno and Włocławek counties today (20 July), where he is meeting with local government officials and representatives of local communities. The meetings are part of the work on the amendment to the Kujawsko-Pomorskie Region Development Strategy 2030+. They are also attended by Vice-Marshal Aneta Jędrzejewska, Member of the Regional Executive Board Marek Wojtkowski, Regional Councillor Sławomir Kopyść, and Members of Parliament Krystian Łuczak and Stanisław Pawlak.

“This visit is another opportunity to listen to the voices of local communities, their needs and aspirations. The regional development strategy, whose provisions will directly or indirectly shape the development policy of every municipality in the Kujawsko-Pomorskie Region and affect all of us, must reflect local expectations and provide solutions to real challenges, including those specific to individual communities. I look forward to constructive contributions. I am pleased to work with professional, committed and responsible partners,” Marshal Piotr Całbecki stressed.

Preparing the amendment to the regional development strategy (formally, the new Regional Development Strategy through 2035) – including drafting its assumptions, conducting public consultations and preparing the final version of the document – is the responsibility of the Regional Executive Board. The completed strategy will be submitted to the Regional Parliament no later than March 2027.

During today’s visit to the Włocławek and Lipno counties, the Marshal officially opened the new roundabout on Regional Road No. 562 in Dyblin and presented grant agreements worth a total of PLN 1 million to organisations implementing projects promoting the social inclusion of senior citizens.

The programme also includes visits to the Brześć Kujawski Economic Zone (home to 30 investors, including clothing giant LPP, owner of the Reserved, House, Cropp, Mohito and Sinsay fashion brands; approximately 1,500 employees; 200 hectares) and the Lubień Kujawski Industrial Zone (200 hectares, 18 companies and around 1,000 employees), as well as meetings at the day-care centre and Volunteer Fire Brigade station in Mokowo, the school complex in Kowal, the headquarters of the Gostynin – Włocławek Landscape Park, the County Road Administration in Choceń, the construction sites of a sports centre in Kruszyn and a community self-help centre in Rzadka Wola, and the School Complex in Lubraniec-Marysin.

Earlier in the day, Marshal Piotr Całbecki visited the Sanctuary of St Joseph Moscati and the Castle Hill in Dobrzyń nad Wisłą, where the Dobrzyń – Kujawy Route, part of the Camino de Santiago network, begins.
