323 Trains to Run on All Saints’ Day
Visiting the graves of loved ones and gathering with family are the main reasons for travelling on 1 November. In response to residents’ needs, additional trains will run this coming Sunday alongside the regular weekend services.
“All Saints’ Day is a time when many people travel to visit the graves of their loved ones. The regional self-government, which organises rail services across the region, is providing additional passenger trains to make travel easier for residents on Sunday, when the timetable offers fewer services,” says Marshal Piotr Całbecki.
A total of 323 trains operated by two rail companies will run on the region’s tracks:
- Arriva RP – 176 trains
- Polregio – 147 trains
The additional services on All Saints’ Day will make it easier for residents to reach cemeteries and encourage them to choose rail as an alternative means of transport. Travelling by train will help passengers avoid traffic congestion and parking difficulties, which traditionally occur around cemeteries during this period.
Before travelling, passengers are encouraged to check detailed departure and arrival times using online journey planners and on the rail operators’ websites.
