In Life-Threatening Situations, Every Minute Can Make a Difference
Another group of our colleagues has completed first aid training. We organise such training sessions regularly at the Marshal’s Office.
– We believe that every institution and every company should have people who know how to respond when someone’s health or life is at risk. This is important because, in such situations, literally every minute can make a difference, emphasises Marshal Piotr Całbecki.
The training session, held at the Marshal’s Office two days ago, was organised by the Occupational Health and Safety Team of the Department of Executive Board Support, Personnel Affairs and Control, together with the Department of Security and Social Resilience Building.
A total of 48 employees of the Marshal’s Office completed the training. They learned, among other things, how to perform chest compressions on children and adults, how to use an automated external defibrillator (AED), and how to respond to deep wounds and severe bleeding.
