Summer Holidays in the Heart of Nature: Wda Landscape Park (Video)

We invite you to spend your summer holidays exploring the landscape parks of the Kujawsko-Pomorskie Region. There are ten such parks across the region, each offering outstanding natural beauty and excellent opportunities for recreation and tourism. Throughout the summer, the directors and staff of these parks will present short videos introducing their unique attractions. Today, Daniel Siewert, Director of Wda Landscape Park, invites visitors to discover this exceptional destination.

“Wda Landscape Park is a place where nature and history intertwine at every step. The heart of the park is the Wda River, with its two reservoirs – Gródek and Żur. These are places where visitors can encounter white-tailed eagles, kingfishers and ospreys. They are also the starting and finishing points for kayaking trips, one of the best-known tourist attractions of the Tuchola Forest,” says Daniel Siewert, Director of Wda Landscape Park.

“The landscape parks are among the greatest treasures of our region. They offer magnificent natural environments with rare plant and animal species, excellent conditions for hiking and water tourism, numerous rivers and lakes, and remarkable examples of cultural heritage. Each of our parks is a wonderful place to relax, and their unique character encourages visitors to return again and again,” says Marshal Piotr Całbecki.

Wda Landscape Park was established in 1993, with its headquarters located in Osie, Świecie County. Administratively, the park extends across the municipalities of Osie, Drzycim, Warlubie, Lniano, Jeżewo, Śliwice and Cekcyn.

The park is distinguished by its rich biodiversity and includes five nature reserves. It is home to numerous protected plant species as well as many rare animal species. The Wda River flows through the park, accompanied by numerous lakes, making it an ideal destination for water-based recreation, particularly kayaking.
