Film Fund. Narzeczony na niby 2 Previewed in Toruń
A special screening of the second part of the popular romantic comedy took place at CKK Jordanki in Toruń. Narzeczony na niby 2 was made with the support of our Kujawy Pomorze Film Fund.
Directed by Bartosz Prokopowicz, Narzeczony na niby 2 is a sequel to the popular 2018 romantic comedy about the romantic entanglements and relationships of characters caught up in white lies and secret intrigues. The first film was a major hit. It attracted 1.13 million cinema-goers, while over the following eight years it was watched by more than 10 million viewers on Polsat television channels.
A special screening of the sequel was held on Thursday, 1 October, at CKK Jordanki in Toruń. It was attended by the filmmakers and cast members, who emphasised that they too would be seeing the continuation of the hit film from eight years ago on the big screen for the first time. The film crew praised their cooperation with our Kujawy Pomorze Film Fund, describing it as one of the most dynamic film funds in Poland.
– Our cooperation was very successful – said producer Agnieszka Odorowicz. – As Director of the Polish Film Institute, I initiated the creation of film funds in 2005. I would like to congratulate you – this fund works extremely well and is one of the best film funds in Poland.
– The Kujawsko-Pomorskie Region co-finances numerous film productions. There are many works we are proud of, and I am convinced that this film will join that list – said Deputy Marshal of the Voivodeship Aneta Jędrzejewska. – Our region has joined the film family and we feel very much at home in it.
– It was wonderful working here. We are all very excited ahead of the screening and hope that this film will be at least as successful as the first one – and perhaps even more so – said actress Julia Kamińska.
Toruń and its surrounding area provide the backdrop for the characters’ latest romantic complications. This time it is Ola, Szymon’s sister, who is looking for a fake fiancé, supported by her sister-in-law Karina, who is herself struggling with problems in her relationship. The film crew shot scenes in 2025, including in Toruń’s Old Town.
Narzeczony na niby 2 sees the return of actors who played the leading roles in the first film: Julia Kamińska as Karina and Piotr Stramowski as Szymon. The cast also includes other well-known names from the film industry, including Aleksandra Grabowska as Ola, Sebastian Dela, Krzysztof Stelmaszyk, Mateusz Janicki and Emma Giegżno. Stars Grażyna Szapołowska and Piotr Adamczyk also appear on screen.
Director Bartosz Prokopowicz has such productions as Chemia, Narzeczony na niby, Szczęścia chodzą parami and Nic na siłę to his credit. The screenplay was written by Dorota Trzaska and Wojciech Grabarczyk, while Jeremi Prokopowicz served as cinematographer.
Narzeczony na niby 2 was made with the support of the Kujawy Pomorze Film Fund. The production received funding from the European Funds under the project “Kujawy + Pomorze – Promotion of the Region’s Economic Potential – Edition III”. The film is produced by TFP and co-produced by Grupa Polsat Plus.
Narzeczony na niby 2 will be released in Polish cinemas on 15 January 2027.
