We Will Reward the Creators of Harvest Festival Welcome Displays
Harvest festival welcome displays have become a familiar part of the regional landscape, announcing celebrations of the harvest in villages across the region. The regional self-government is inviting village communities to create their own original harvest festival decorations. Prizes will be awarded to the most creative entries.
“Harvest festival welcome displays are a symbol of cooperation, community involvement and pride in the places we call home. I encourage everyone to create original decorations that showcase the beauty of the Kujawsko-Pomorskie countryside and the richness of our traditions. I hope this year’s competition will bring forward plenty of creative ideas highlighting the strength and spirit of our local communities,” says Marshal Piotr Całbecki.
The competition is open to all village communities (sołectwa) in the Kujawsko-Pomorskie Region. Its aim is to preserve the long-standing tradition of creating harvest festival welcome displays, encourage local residents to get involved in community activities and promote their villages.
The winners will receive cash prizes:
- 1st place – PLN 10,000
- 2nd place – PLN 7,000
- 3rd place – PLN 4,000
- Honourable mentions – PLN 2,000 each
Entries can be submitted until 30 September.
