Two days devoted to preventive healthcare are ahead of us – Friday and Saturday. On Friday (11 September), we invite you to free medical examinations and consultations at the Ludwik Rydygier Regional Integrated Hospital in Toruń. On Saturday (12 September), we encourage you to take part in a health picnic at the park of the Pod Tężniami Health Resort Clinic in Ciechocinek.
– Regular preventive check-ups and vigilance are the most effective weapons in the fight against serious diseases. Early diagnosis gives doctors the opportunity to act effectively and patients a chance to make a full recovery. Open Days at the Regional Integrated Hospital in Toruń
When: 11 September (Friday), 9 a.m.–1 p.m.
Where: Regional Integrated Hospital (53–59 św. Józefa Street) and the Specialist Hospital for Children and Adults (42 Konstytucji 3 Maja Street)
Examinations and consultations available:
- laboratory tests (including glucose, complete blood count, TSH, vitamin D3, uric acid and PSA tests for men)
- microbiological tests (diagnostics for Lyme disease and HPV infections, as well as mycological tests)
- mammography
- physiotherapy advice
- medical consultations and advice: meetings with specialist doctors, physiotherapists and lactation consultants, as well as specialist consultations on bariatric care and childhood allergies
- advice in the fields of cardiology, neurology, diabetology and urology

“Mam plany” Health and Education Picnic in Ciechocinek, organised by the Oncology Centre in Bydgoszcz and the Pod Tężniami Health Resort Clinic in Ciechocinek
When: 12 September (Saturday), 11 a.m.–3 p.m.
Where: Park of the Pod Tężniami Health Resort Clinic in Ciechocinek
Examinations and consultations available:
- mammography examinations in a mobile mammography unit and instruction in breast and testicular self-examination
- assessment of skin parameters and condition combined with skincare advice
- consultations with specialists from the Oncology Centre in Bydgoszcz, including a gynaecologist, urologist, specialists in breast and thoracic cancers, an oncology dietitian and a psycho-oncologist
- physiotherapy advice
- Nordic walking sessions and salt cave sessions
- panel discussions featuring, among others, Prof. Janusz Kowalewski, Director of the Oncology Centre in Bydgoszcz, and Dr Adrianna Makarewicz, Regional Consultant in Clinical Oncology
- stands run by patient organisations, the Amazons breast cancer support group, the STOMAlife Association and an educational stand of the State Forests, where visitors will be able to receive a free tree seedling.
