LGD Agreements – Breaking Stereotypes, Support and Motivation for Women
Under the European Funds for Kujawy and Pomorze2021-2027 programme, funding is available for various forms of local community activation. Support is provided through calls for grant projects, with applications announced by Local Action Groups (LAGs). In the near future, the Local Action Group “Partnership for the Kujawy Land” will present beneficiaries with agreements for projects aimed at breaking down gender stereotypes.
“Local Action Groups are organisations established by residents, non-governmental organisations and local authorities. Their members are close to local communities and therefore best understand how to engage residents and respond to their needs. The funding we provide for LAG activities is used for a wide range of socially important initiatives,” emphasises Marshal Piotr Całbecki.
- The Local Action Group “Partnership for the Kujawy Land” will present agreements for projects aimed at breaking down gender stereotypes on 8 September at 10 a.m. at the LAG headquarters in Odolion (Aleksandrów County), 4 Piaskowa Street. The total value of the grants awarded is more than PLN 350,000. The funding can be used for initiatives supporting women seeking to reconcile professional and family life, strengthening their self-esteem and motivation to challenge stereotypes concerning women’s roles and personal development. These may include experience-sharing sessions, motivational and psychological workshops, coaching and support groups.
There are 27 Local Action Groups in our region. They operate in both towns and rural areas and make use of EU funding administered by the Marshal’s Office, as well as funding allocated to them through the Community-Led Local Development (CLLD) instrument. By placing funds and the tools needed to access them in the hands of local communities, we are creating a participatory budget on a regional scale. Kujawy and Pomorze is the only Polish region implementing CLLD on such a large scale.
