Inaugural Session of the Youth Regional Parliament
During today’s (24 June) first session of the new term of the Youth Regional Parliament of the Kujawsko-Pomorskie Region, members are expected to elect the presidium and establish the composition of the audit committee. Guests attending the session include the President of the Regional Parliament Elżbieta Piniewska, Vice-Marshal Zbigniew Ostrowski, Regional Councillors Anna Niewiadomska and Tadeusz Pogoda, as well as Members of Parliament from the region.
Composition of the Youth Regional Parliament of the Kujawsko-Pomorskie Region (3rd term)
The Youth Regional Parliament of the Kujawsko-Pomorskie Region is a 30-member advisory body to the regional government, elected for a two-year term with initiative and consultative powers.
Its members are selected through an open competition involving young people aged 16–21. A recruitment committee, including regional councillors, evaluates candidates based on their civic engagement as well as written work on the role of youth councils in fostering civic activity among young people and their involvement in public life at the municipal, county, and regional level.
