Festival of Young Artists at Castle Hill (photos) | Województwo Kujawsko-Pomorskie

Talented, creative, energetic and passionate — these are the young people presenting their skills during the 2nd European Festival of Young Artists taking place at Castle Hill in Toruń. The programme includes vocal, dance and musical performances, as well as presentations of literary works and visual art. The official opening of the event, organised by the Europejskie Centrum Współpracy Młodzieży, was attended by Vice-Marshal Zbigniew Ostrowski. The festival continues until tomorrow (29 May).

“The regional government is pleased to support an event where young people from our region can present their passions, talents and the results of their work. I am convinced that participation in the festival will help them in personal development and career planning,” emphasised Marshal Piotr Całbecki.

On the first day of the festival (27 May), students from secondary schools are presenting their talents, while tomorrow (28 May) the stage will belong to children from preschool preparatory classes and primary school pupils.

During the official inauguration, awards were presented to individuals supporting young talents:

Wacława Kaczmarek – director of the “Eden” Treatment and Rehabilitation Centre for the Blind in Ciechocinek
Jacek Kałamarski – teacher and scoutmaster of the orchestra at the Automotive Schools Complex in Toruń
Renata Gołębiewska – mayor of Kikół in Lipno County
Ewa Petrykiewicz – director of the Polonia High School in Warsaw
