FEdKP Agreements: Investments Close to Residents
Nineteen agreements for funding projects with a total value of nearly PLN 30 million were received at the Marshal’s Office by representatives of beneficiaries of our regional programme, European Funds for Kujawy and Pomorze (FEdKP). This time, we are allocating the largest amounts, among other things, to investments in education, healthcare and initiatives aimed at engaging residents. The ceremonial meeting was attended by Vice-Marshal Aneta Jędrzejewska, President of the Regional Parliament Elżbieta Piniewska, Member of the Regional Executive Board of the Region Dariusz Kurzawa, Member of the Regional Executive Board Marek Wojtkowski and Regional Parliament Councillor Sławomir Kopyść. “The agreements presented today will enable investments in healthcare, social, preschool and sports infrastructure. I am particularly pleased with the nearly PLN 4 million in funding for Aleksandrów Kujawski to build a full-size athletics track. This is an important step in implementing our regional development strategy – thanks to this investment, one of the two gaps on the region’s sports map will disappear. I believe that together we will create good conditions for young people to take part in sport and continue their development,” said Vice-Marshal Aneta Jędrzejewska.

It is also proof that European funds translate into concrete action – for the safety, education and development of our region,” emphasised President of the Regional Parliament Elżbieta Piniewska. “I wish you success and satisfaction in carrying out your projects. May they bring as much benefit as possible to the residents of our region.”
One of the largest projects in terms of cost being launched now will be implemented by the municipal government of Aleksandrów Kujawski. Nearly PLN 4 million will be allocated to improving access to schools for students with special educational needs at Primary School No. 1 and Primary School No. 3. The investment also includes the construction of a full-size athletics track.
A similar project, involving the adaptation of school facilities to the needs of people with disabilities, will also be carried out by the municipal government of Inowrocław. Funding of more than PLN 2 million has been granted for renovation and adaptation works and the purchase of equipment at twelve schools.
The Mogilno County government will carry out extensive work in the field of vocational education. The PLN 3 million project includes the modernisation of vocational training workshops and classrooms at the School Complex in Strzelno and the School Complex in Mogilno.
Among the signed agreements is the modernisation of the Tęczowy Zakątek Municipal Preschool in Chełmno, which, in addition to renovation works, includes the purchase of modern equipment.
EU funding will also support investments in healthcare. The funded projects include the modernisation of the outpatient specialist care clinic at the Independent Public Healthcare Centre (SPZOZ) in Mogilno, the renovation and equipping of the medical rehabilitation unit at Nowy Szpital in Wąbrzeźno, and the modernisation and purchase of equipment for the Rehabilitation Department of the Pałuckie Health Centre in Żnin.
Kujawsko-Pomorskie is the second-best-performing Polish region in terms of implementing its own regional programme for the 2021-2027 financial perspective. Contracting under the programme is approaching 72 per cent.
