Little Goose in the Landscape Parks of Kujawy and Pomerania” Art Competition Launches
Our two competitions have become a cherished tradition of the “Kujawsko-Pomorskie Goose for St Martin’s Day” campaign. One of them is the hugely popular art competition for children and young people, which this year opens on 26 October. We will also soon announce the second competition, inviting participants to share stories of family celebrations over goose dishes on 11 November. This year’s art competition is entitled “Little Goose in the Landscape Parks of Kujawy and Pomerania”.
This year, participants are invited to depict the star of the “Kujawsko-Pomorskie Goose for St Martin’s Day” campaign – our St Martin’s Day goose – visiting the region’s landscape parks. Kujawy and Pomerania are home to as many as ten such parks, each boasting magnificent natural landscapes and rare species of plants and animals. We look forward to receiving artworks featuring our little goose enjoying sporting activities. Entries may be created using any artistic technique, but they must be two-dimensional, with a maximum size of A3. Detailed information is available in the competition rules.
– I warmly encourage you to take part in the “Little Goose in the Landscape Parks of Kujawsko-Pomorskie” art competition. This is a wonderful opportunity to combine your artistic passion with discovering the unique natural beauty of our region. Let our St Martin’s Day goose be your guide to the most beautiful corners of our local natural environment. I eagerly look forward to seeing your creations and wish all participants an unforgettable and inspiring artistic adventure! – said Marshal of the Kujawsko-Pomorskie Region Piotr Całbecki.
Each participant may submit only one entry. Entries must be sent between 26 October and 10 November 2026 (the date of receipt by the organiser is decisive) or delivered in person to the reception desk of the Marshal’s Office at the following address:
Marshal’s Office of the Kujawsko-Pomorskie Region
Plac Teatralny 2, 87-100 Toruń, Room 219
Please mark the submission “Konkurs plastyczny gęsina” (Goose Art Competition).
Each submission must include a completed participation declaration (attached to the competition rules) and the required contact details: the artist’s first name, surname and age; the first name, surname and telephone number of a parent or guardian to be contacted in the event of winning; and the participant’s place of residence. Entries submitted without the completed declaration form will not be evaluated.
The competition jury will assess entries in four age categories: up to 6 years, 7–10 years, 11–13 years and 14–18 years. Winners in the two younger age categories will receive prizes such as art supplies, books, board games and building block sets, while older winners will receive shopping vouchers. The official award ceremony will take place at the Marshal’s Office. Winners will be notified by telephone.
We will also soon announce a competition inviting participants to share accounts of spending time together over goose dishes to celebrate Poland’s National Independence Day. Entire families, Rural Housewives’ Associations and, for the first time, volunteer fire brigade units from the region will be able to participate.
