Vote for the Kujawsko-Pomorskie Wonders of Poland!
The graduation towers and saltworks complex in Ciechocinek, the House of Toruń Legends in Toruń, and the Mouse Tower and Lake Gopło in Kruszwica are this year’s nominees in the prestigious Wonders of Poland 2026 competition organised by National Geographic Traveler magazine. Voting will continue until 13 October, and the winners will be announced on 14 October!
– The nominees from our region are already gems on the tourist map of the voivodeship. The graduation towers, the Mouse Tower and the House of Legends, which delight history enthusiasts, spa visitors and architecture lovers, attract both younger and older travellers. This is a wealth of attractions well worth discovering and promoting – says Marshal Piotr Całbecki.
Kujawsko-Pomorskie nominees:
The graduation towers and saltworks complex in Ciechocinek is one of the most recognisable spa landmarks in Poland. Since the 19th century, it has played an important role in the operation of the famous health resort, attracting spa visitors and tourists from all over the country.
The House of Toruń Legends presents the most fascinating stories connected with Toruń’s history in a modern and interactive way. Visitors can actively take part in the legends being presented while learning about old traditions, customs and figures associated with the city.
The Mouse Tower in Kruszwica is one of the best-known symbols of Kujawy and is associated with the legend of King Popiel.
Lake Gopło is one of the largest lakes in Poland and forms part of the Nadgoplański Millennium Park. Its combination of historical and scenic attractions makes Kruszwica one of the most interesting tourist destinations in the voivodeship.
Last year’s competition was won by the village of Brzózki (Nakło County).
