Film Fund. Agata Turkot and Tomasz Schuchardt nominated for the “Pulsars”

The “Pulsars” are awards presented by the Polish Actors’ Trade Union. Among this year’s nominees are the lead actors from “Dom dobry”, a film made in partnership with the Kujawy Pomorze Film Fund.

The Polish Actors’ Trade Union will present its awards for only the second time. The inaugural ceremony took place last year during the 50th anniversary edition of the Polish Film Festival in Gdynia. Among the winners – in the “Inspiring Actor on Screen” category – was Łukasz Simlat for his role as Marcin in Michał Grzybowski’s film “Seasons”, made in cooperation with our Kujawy Pomorze Film Fund. “A performance full of truth, courage and emotional depth, inspiring us to discover the human being in all their vulnerability and to connect with the audience through acting in its purest form,” the jury stated in its justification.

For his role in “Seasons”, Simlat was also honoured with the Pola Negri Film Award of the Marshal of the Kujawsko-Pomorskie Voivodeship. He received the award at the beginning of July this year, at the conclusion of the 24th Tofifest International Film Festival in Toruń.

The Polish Actors’ Trade Union has just announced the nominations for the second edition of the “Pulsars”. As last year, the awards will be presented in four categories. The list of nominees includes Agata Turkot and Tomasz Schuchardt, the lead actors in Wojciech Smarzowski’s acclaimed “Dom dobry”, which was made in partnership with the Kujawy Pomorze Film Fund.

It is worth recalling that “Dom dobry” triumphed in the Polish Films Competition at this year’s Tofifest festival in Toruń. Despite tackling the difficult subject of domestic violence, it proved to be a major box-office success, attracting nearly 2.5 million viewers to cinemas. It also received considerable critical recognition, winning five “Polish Oscars” – the 2026 Polish Film Awards, the Eagles – including all the major honours. It was named Best Film of the past year, Smarzowski received the Eagle for Best Director, Agata Turkot and Tomasz Schuchardt won the leading acting awards, and Mikołaj Trzaska received the award for music.

Andrzej Konopka also has a chance of winning a “Pulsar”. For his supporting role in the film “LARP”, he received the Tofifest 2026 Golden Angel for an “original acting performance”, as well as an Eagle statuette.
