More Than PLN 2 Million for the Social Integration of Seniors in Bydgoszcz

The “Two Rivers” Local Action Group in Bydgoszcz is one of 27 Local Action Groups operating in the Kujawsko-Pomorskie Region that manage funding from the regional European Funds for Kujawy and Pomorze programme to support local community initiatives.

On Thursday (23 July), Vice Marshal Zbigniew Ostrowski, Regional Councillor Katarzyna Stranz-Kaja, and, on behalf of the Local Action Group, its President Przemysław Byś, presented grant agreements to beneficiaries implementing projects aimed at promoting the social inclusion and integration of senior citizens. The total value of the grants exceeds PLN 2 million.

“Senior Clubs and Youth Clubs are our own original concept for strengthening civic engagement across the Kujawsko-Pomorskie Region. We have allocated substantial funding to this initiative—PLN 200 million in total from our regional programme. I would like to thank everyone involved in these projects. Without your commitment, and without the engagement of local communities, including local governments, none of this would have been possible,” emphasised Marshal Piotr Całbecki.
