Current LAG Calls: More Funding for Youth Clubs

There are 27 Local Action Groups (LAGs) operating across the Kujawsko-Pomorskie Region. These partnerships, established by local residents, non-governmental organisations, and local governments, implement initiatives that strengthen and engage local communities. Their projects are financed with funds allocated by the Marshal’s Office through the Community-Led Local Development (CLLD) instrument. Local Action Groups regularly announce funding calls on their websites, offering financial support for initiatives that address the needs and priorities of local communities. We invite you to explore the current funding opportunities.

“Working together with Local Action Groups and the institutions and organisations operating within their structures enables us to respond effectively to the real needs and challenges faced by local communities. This is possible because we have entrusted local communities with both the funding and the tools needed to make use of these resources. In doing so, we have effectively created a participatory budget on a regional scale,” explained Marshal Piotr Całbecki.

The Pojezierze Brodnickie Local Action Group Association has recently announced a new call for applications. Under this programme, grants will be awarded to support educational activities for children and young people outside the formal education system. Funding is provided through the European Funds for Kujawy and Pomorze 2021–2027 programme, with a total allocation of PLN 2 million. Applications will be accepted from 29 July to 13 August. Detailed information is available on the Local Action Group’s website.

New funding call from the Local Action Group:

  • announced by the Pojezierze Brodnickie Local Action Group;
  • PLN 2 million available for non-formal education projects for children and young people;
  • funding may be used to establish new youth clubs and support their ongoing operation.

Local Action Groups are partnerships formed by residents, non-governmental organisations, and local governments to implement initiatives that activate and strengthen local communities. There are 27 such partnerships operating throughout the Kujawsko-Pomorskie Region, both in urban and rural areas (map of LAGs). They use European Union funding managed by the Marshal’s Office as well as resources provided through the Community-Led Local Development (CLLD) instrument. By placing funding and decision-making tools directly in the hands of local communities, the regional self-government has created a participatory budget on a regional scale. The Kujawsko-Pomorskie Region is the only region in Poland implementing the CLLD approach on such a large scale.
