New Specialist Outpatient Clinic Complex at the Marshal’s Hospital in Toruń

One of the major healthcare projects currently being launched is the construction of a specialist outpatient clinic complex within the Regional Specialist Hospital complex in Toruń, combined with the purchase of medical equipment and apparatus for specialist outpatient care and one-day treatment services. The total planned cost of the project is PLN 111 million. Kujawsko-Pomorskie Medical Investments (Kujawsko-Pomorskie Inwestycje Medyczne) has just announced tenders to select the construction contractor.

“The new four-storey building – which will house, among others, a rehabilitation clinic, a regional cardiology centre, a diabetes clinic, a chemotherapy clinic, hematology and immunology clinics, patient relaxation areas, a childbirth education school, and an underground car park – will be an example of well-designed and functional architecture that is also visually attractive. According to preliminary plans, it should be completed within three years. New challenges require new solutions,” emphasized Marshal Piotr Całbecki. “I am pleased that another stage in the expansion of the regional hospital complex in Toruń is getting closer to implementation.”

The second part of the project involves the purchase of medical equipment and apparatus for specialist outpatient care and minimally invasive one-day surgical treatment. The planned procurement list includes a corneal transplant set and equipment necessary for vitrectomy and cataract removal procedures, diagnostic and non-invasive kidney stone removal equipment, hysteroscopes, a radiofrequency microneedling device, a remote fetal heart rate and uterine contraction monitoring system (CTG), modern ultrasound and endoscopic equipment, a mammography unit, a CT scanner with cardiac imaging capability, and ophthalmic tomography devices.

The investment budget consists of funds from the regional program European Funds for Kujawy and Pomorze, as well as the project partner’s own contribution provided by the Marshal’s special-purpose company, Kujawsko-Pomorskie Medical Investments (Kujawsko-Pomorskie Inwestycje Medyczne).
