Youth Regional Assembly concludes its term

The final session of the 2nd term of the Youth Regional Parliament took place today (April 13) at the Marshal’s Office. Guests attending the meeting included President of the Regional Parliament Elżbieta Piniewska, Member of Parliament Iwona Karolewska, and the Board’s Plenipotentiary Grzegorz Borek.

A summary of the term was presented by Assembly Chair Gracjan Szuwała, who spoke about the initiatives carried out, including recurring congresses of regional youth councils and various social campaigns. Honorary titles of “Meritorious for the Youth Regional Parliament” were awarded to Iwona Karolewska and Grzegorz Borek.

The Youth Regional Parliament of the Kujawsko-Pomorskie Region is a 30-member advisory body of the regional government, elected for a two-year term, with initiative and consultative powers. Its members are selected through an open competition open to young people aged 16–21. The recruitment committee, which includes regional councillors, evaluates candidates based on their social activity and essays on the role of youth councils/assemblies in fostering civic engagement among young people and encouraging participation in public life at the municipal, county, and regional levels. Recruitment for the third term has already been completed, and the selection process is currently underway.
