Close to people, close to regional matters – 11 April Radio Day

On 13 February we celebrate the World Radio Day established by UNESCO. Meanwhile, tomorrow (11 April) marks Radio Day (Radiowca) in Poland, referring to 1923, when the Association of Polish Radiotechnicians adopted guidelines for the radiotelegraphy law.

On this occasion, thanks are extended to all radio journalists for their daily work – for reliably reporting events and bringing them closer to residents of the region, and for asking insightful questions that help translate official language into something more accessible and human.

“On the occasion of Radio Day, I would like to extend my sincere wishes of success to all employees of radio stations in the Kujawsko-Pomorskie Region and their listeners. It is a good moment to thank our radio professionals for great music, reliable information, interesting programmes and important conversations we hear on air. I am glad that many of them concern the social, cultural and economic life of our region. The professionalism, passion and commitment of radio people ensure that the magic of this wonderful medium remains strong and continues to attract new generations of listeners,” said Piotr Całbecki.

With commitment, responsibility and passion, radio professionals create a space for information and dialogue every day. Their voice – reaching places where images cannot – accompanies us on the way to work, during morning coffee, and in moments of evening rest.
