World Indoor Championships Kujawy Pomorze 26: Volunteers are the backbone of the event
Piotr Całbecki and Krzysztof Wolsztyński met on March 22 with the volunteers of the World Indoor Championships Kujawy Pomorze 2026 to thank them for their dedication and contribution to the region’s most important athletics event in history.
– Volunteers are the foundation of every major sporting event. Behind every spectator’s smile, smoothly run competition, and good atmosphere are people who give their time with passion, heart, and commitment – emphasized Piotr Całbecki. – You create the spirit of this event. Your presence, openness, and readiness to help make the championships more than just a sports competition. Without you, these championships would not exist!
Nearly 500 volunteers participated in WIC Kujawy Pomorze 26, ranging in age from 17 to 70. Their responsibilities varied depending on their assigned area, including technical support, team attaché, media, anti-doping control, physiotherapy, event office, hotels, airports, and accreditation.
