New FEdKP Contracts: Ecology, Public Space, Investment Areas, Education
Forty contracts for project funding, totaling 44 million PLN, were handed over today (March 13) at the Marshal’s Office to representatives of beneficiaries of our regional program European Funds for Kujawy and Pomorze (FEdKP). This time, the funds are being allocated for projects including the renewal of public spaces, water management, eco-friendly investments, development of investment areas, and activities aimed at improving education.
The ceremonial meeting was attended by Regional Executive Board Members Dariusz Kurzawa and Marek Wojtkowski, as well as the President of the Regional Parliament Elżbieta Piniewska and Vice-President Katarzyna Lubańska. Photos are available for download.
– “We are pleased with both the infrastructure projects, related to the renewal of spaces and revitalization of facilities, ecology, and water management, as well as soft projects, this time in education. It is a good day for our region,” emphasized Regional Executive Board Member Dariusz Kurzawa in a conversation with journalists.
Among today’s beneficiaries is the municipality of Sępólno Krajeńskie in Sępólno County, which left Toruń with three contracts totaling 7 million PLN. Funded from the FEdKP pool, the investments include equipping municipal investment areas, developing the city forest for recreational purposes, and creating a bicycle traffic town. The total value of these investments amounts to 12 million PLN.
Three investment projects are also planned by the municipality of Pakość in Inowrocław County: modernization of the municipal water treatment station, construction of a bicycle path along the regional road, and renovation of the fire station. The total planned cost is nearly 5.5 million PLN, while the amounts on the contracts received today total 3.6 million PLN.
“Green Inowrocław” is the name of Inowrocław’s eco-friendly project, which includes the creation of a rain garden, expansion of the retention reservoir, planting greenery, and construction of an irrigation system for urban greenery. The cost of the second phase of the project is 6 million PLN, with funding of 5 million PLN.
The municipality of Gniewkowo will invest nearly 2 million PLN to improve the facilities of three municipal primary schools, organize additional classes, and create conditions for enhancing teachers’ qualifications. The value of support amounts to 1.6 million PLN.
Implementation of our 2021-2027 regional program is progressing very efficiently. With over a thousand signed contracts and commitments totaling 5.118 billion PLN (66% of allocation), we rank among the leading Polish regions in terms of program progress. In 2026, over one billion PLN will be available for allocation within FEdKP.
