Current FEdKP calls: health, safety, tree planting

Within our regional programme European Funds for Kujawy and Pomorze, we currently have five ongoing calls for project funding and non-competitive application processes, with a total allocation of PLN 30 million. The funds are intended for training infrastructure for volunteer fire brigades and infrastructure for water rescue units, solutions to improve safety on regional roads, roadside tree planting along local roads, and investments in specialist outpatient clinics in smaller towns.

“EU funding for investment continues to drive our economy and makes it possible to carry out important development-oriented activities. Above all, however, thanks to the commitment of beneficiaries who boldly reach for funding from our regional programme, we are consistently modernising our small homeland together by implementing projects that genuinely improve residents’ quality of life,” emphasises Marshal Piotr Całbecki.

A call for funding for tree planting in rural areas—with a pool of more than PLN 7 million and the possibility of covering up to 85% of investment costs—is aimed at local governments. It concerns new or supplementary plantings and the restoration of avenues that were once destroyed, as well as tree maintenance. The application deadline is 26 February, with results announced in July.

In two calls for funding for the construction, expansion and modernisation of rescue-service infrastructure, nearly PLN 10 million and almost PLN 6.5 million respectively are available. Local governments and water rescue units may submit applications until 26 March and expect results in August. In the call where the final beneficiaries will be local fire brigades, the relevant deadlines are 2 March and July 2026.

Funds for investments improving road safety (PLN 7 million) will be allocated to, among other things, the construction of cycle paths and pavements, installation of traffic lights, lighting and safety barriers in hazardous locations, as well as the construction of bus bays and the introduction of solutions that encourage drivers to slow down. These funds will be managed by the regional government.

Funding for investments in public outpatient healthcare (PLN 2.5 million) will improve access to this type of medical service outside the region’s largest cities and will also enable residents of smaller towns to make broader use of rehabilitation services than before (including home-based care). Applications may be submitted by independent public healthcare institutions, local government companies and local consortia operating under public-private partnership arrangements. Applications are accepted until 9 March, with decisions to be announced in July.

Implementation of our 2021–2027 regional programme is progressing very efficiently. With more than a thousand signed agreements and contracted funding totalling PLN 5 billion (64.55% of allocation), we are the leading region in the country in terms of implementation progress. In 2026 alone, we have more than PLN 1 billion available for distribution under FEdKP.

All announcements of calls and non-competitive application processes are available on the European Funds for Kujawy and Pomorze 2021–2027 portal.
