NRP funding for water supply and sewerage systems

Over PLN 60 million – this is the amount of additional support from the National Recovery Plan (NRP) for our region, earmarked for the construction and modernisation of rural water supply and wastewater systems. The funds will be allocated to 24 municipalities, whose representatives received project funding agreements today (9 February) at the Marshal’s Office.

Today’s agreements are the result of our good cooperation with the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, which is the managing authority for this segment of NRP funds. Access to good water supply and sanitation in rural areas is a matter of civilisation and quality of life. And although much has already been done in this area, there is still a great deal to be done,” said Marshal Piotr Całbecki as he opened the meeting with representatives of the beneficiaries.

Representing the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, Magdalena Kiciak-Kucharska, Vice-President of the government Agency for Restructuring and Modernisation of Agriculture, emphasised that the additional NRP funds for our voivodeship are a major success, demonstrating how important our region remains from the perspective of agriculture, rural development, and the national policies related to these areas.

The ceremonial meeting at the Marshal’s Office was also attended by Elżbieta Piniewska, President of the Regional Parliament; Aneta Jędrzejewska, Vice-Marshal of the Voivodeship; Katarzyna Lubańska and Przemysław Sznajdrowski, Vice-Chairs of the Regional Assembly; members of the Voivodeship Board Dariusz Kurzawa and Marek Wojtkowski; as well as regional councillors Ewa Kozanecka and Józef Łyczak.

Under the call for proposals announced several months ago for NRP project co-financing, a total of nearly PLN 120 million has been allocated to our region. This will enable the implementation of 40 investment projects related to the construction and modernisation of rural water supply networks and sewerage systems, on-site wastewater treatment plants, and water treatment stations.
