Today (14 January), representatives of beneficiaries of our regional programme European Funds for Kujawy and Pomorze 2021-2027 (FEdKP) received financing agreements for projects with a total value of PLN 80 million at the Marshal’s Office. European Union funding will support revitalisation projects, the development of entrepreneurship and innovation, investments in healthcare facilities, as well as additional educational activities for children and young people.

The meeting with beneficiaries was attended by Vice-Marshal Aneta Jędrzejewska, President of the Regional Parliament Elżbieta Piniewska, Member of the Regional Executive Board Marek Wojtkowski, Regional Councillors Przemysław Sznajdrowski and Sławomir Kopyść, as well as Senator Ryszard Brejza, who was visiting the Marshal’s Office.

“The thematic scope of the agreements presented today is very broad and covers virtually every area of life,” said Vice-Marshal Aneta Jędrzejewska. “The highest level of funding is being allocated to the city of Inowrocław, where a beautiful swimming pool complex will be built within the spa area. A significant number of projects focus on education – from kindergartens, through primary schools, to vocational schools. I would like to thank everyone who reaches for EU funds and who, together with us, wants to contribute to the development of our region.”

The largest amount of funding awarded today will support the modernisation of the outdoor swimming pool in Inowrocław. As part of a project worth nearly PLN 35 million, the pool located in the Solanki Park will undergo comprehensive reconstruction. A water playground with a complex of slides and leisure areas will also be created.

Nearly PLN 11 million allocated today will make it possible to build modern electric bus charging infrastructure at six operational locations of the Kujawsko-Pomorskie Road Transport Company: in Włocławek, Lipno, Brodnica, Rypin, Inowrocław and Mogilno.

Włocławek will gain a modern space for entrepreneurs. A so-called FabLab will be created in the building of the Włocławek Innovation and Entrepreneurship Incubator – a place for meetings, experimentation, prototyping and implementing innovative solutions using new technologies. Funding from FEdKP amounts to PLN 5 million.

A significant portion of today’s funds is being allocated to investments in healthcare infrastructure. At the Specialist Municipal Hospital in Toruń, some specialist outpatient clinics will be relocated to lower floors of the building, doctors’ offices and treatment rooms will be modernised, and an elevator will be installed. The project also includes the purchase of medical equipment. The total value of the project exceeds PLN 5.5 million.

The Multispecialist Hospital in Inowrocław will also benefit from the replacement of equipment and the purchase of modern medical devices for its clinics and diagnostic units. PLN 2.8 million has been allocated for this purpose.

Residents of Kruszwica will gain functional recreational and sports spaces. Thanks to EU funds, among other investments, a complex of multifunctional sports fields in the vicinity of Lake Gopło will be rebuilt. The market square in the historic part of the town will also be revitalised, including the construction of a fountain and the development of green areas. The local government will also invest in cycling infrastructure – a new pedestrian and bicycle path will be built along Regional Road No. 412 from Przedbojewice to Janowice. Funding for these three projects totals PLN 8.5 million.

Among educational initiatives, particular attention is drawn to a project implemented by the City of Grudziądz, which includes additional classes for 800 students of primary and secondary schools, as well as equipping educational institutions with IT and laboratory equipment.
