New Year’s wishes will once again flow from Toruń

In just two days, thousands of residents of the region will welcome the New Year at Toruń’s Old Town Market Square during Polsat’s “New Year’s Eve Power of Hits.” A lineup of popular and well-known stars of popular music will perform on a modern stage. After the lively celebration, participants will be able to return home thanks to six special trains operated by Arriva RP and Polregio, commissioned by the regional government.

“Outstanding artists will appear on stage, attracting millions of viewers in front of their television sets. In this way, we will promote not only Toruń, but the entire voivodeship. I am convinced that this will be a great celebration of our region, helping to build a sense of community among all its residents,” emphasized Marshal Piotr Całbecki.

During “New Year’s Eve Power of Hits,” the performers will include Thomas Anders (Modern Talking), Beata and Bajm, Edyta Górniak, Alicja Majewska, Anna Wyszkoni, Julia Żugaj, Majka Jeżowska, Urszula, Lady Pank, Big Cyc, Enej, Golec u’Orkiestra, Perfect, and Smolasty.

The concert will begin at 7:45 p.m., while the audience will be admitted to the event area starting at 5:00 p.m. Due to the mass nature of the event, traffic restrictions will be introduced in the Old Town area. Details are available on the Toruń City Hall website.

The regional government, which is financially supporting the event, will also ensure a safe return home for concert participants. Six trains departing from Toruń’s two railway stations will take passengers to 70 towns and cities across the region.
