The Regional Assembly to Address the 2026 Budget
During tomorrow’s session (19 December) of the Regional Parliament, the adoption of the region’s budget for next year and the Multiannual Financial Forecast for 2026-2047 is expected. The main parameters of the draft budget resolution submitted by the Regional Executive Board include PLN 2.1 billion in revenues, PLN 2.5 billion in expenditures, and a deficit of PLN 403 million. The Regional Chamber of Audit and the Regional Parliament’s Budget and Finance Committee have issued positive opinions on the document. The session will be streamed online from 11:00 a.m. Agenda.
At the beginning of the meeting, Scouts from the Kujawsko-Pomorskie District of the Polish Scouting and Guiding Association will pass on the Bethlehem Light of Peace to those gathered. “Nurture the good within yourself” is this year’s motto of the traditional scouting relay, through which the flame symbolizing peace, love, and hope – lit in the Grotto of the Nativity in Bethlehem – is carried to locations around the world.
The agenda also includes, among others, information on the implementation of road investments, a report on the execution of the regional environmental protection program, and votes on entrusting the Pomorskie Region with the revitalization of our section of the international E70 inland waterway, as well as on next year’s contracts with public bus transport operators.
The Regional Parliament is also likely to adopt two important positions: an appeal to the government to include the construction of the eastern bypass of Bydgoszcz in investment plans for the Via Pomerania road, and a position regarding the expansion of underground fuel storage facilities in Kujawy as strategic reserves to be created in the event of threats to national security.
