Officials Took the Oath

“I solemnly swear that in the position I hold, I will serve the Polish state and the local government community, abide by the legal order, and diligently carry out the tasks entrusted to me” – these are the words of the oath taken today (4 December) by thirteen employees of the Office of the Marshal of the Kujawsko-Pomorskie Region, completing their preparatory service.

“Working at the Marshal’s Office is a very responsible task; through your work, you serve the residents of our region. I believe that by conscientiously performing your duties, you will meet all professional challenges. I wish you much success and satisfaction in your work,” said Marshal Piotr Całbecki.

In accordance with the Act on Local Government Employees, individuals taking up employment for the first time in local government units in an official position (including managerial roles) sign a fixed-term employment contract for up to six months. During this period, they are required to undergo preparatory service. Afterwards, they take an exam, with a positive result being a prerequisite for further employment.

The officials who took the oath represent the following departments:

  • Marshal’s Office Cabinet
  • Agriculture
  • Social Affairs
  • Security and Building Social Resilience
  • Organisational Department
  • Rural Development
  • Education
  • Promotion
  • European Funds Management for Kujawsko-Pomorskie
  • Road Infrastructure
  • European Funds Implementation for Kujawsko-Pomorskie

This was already the fifty-first oath-taking ceremony for officials at the Marshal’s Office since the Act on Local Government Employees of 21 November 2008 came into force.
