Our Delegation in Magdeburg and Wittenberg

At the invitation of Rainer Haseloff, Minister-President of Saxony-Anhalt, Marshal Piotr Całbecki is paying an official visit to this German federal state. He is accompanied by Regional Paliament Councilors Marek Galik and Tadeusz Pogoda, the Marshal’s Office plenipotentiary for science, Prof. Bogusław Buszewski, and Anna Dubownik, the Nicolaus Copernicus University rector’s plenipotentiary for sustainable development. Topics discussed include prospects for cooperation in education, collaboration between universities, and initiatives related to sustainable development planning.

During official meetings with Minister-President Rainer Haseloff, discussions also touched on the challenges facing our part of Europe due to the current international situation, as well as the need to rethink matters concerning defense and the safety of residents. In this context, the issue of building anti-drone defense systems for civilian airports was raised.

Our delegation visited, among others, the CO₂-neutral large-scale energy storage systems factory in Wittenberg operated by the innovative company Tesvolt, the Magdeburg-based European Youth Cooperation Center, and the Magdeburg-Stendal University of Applied Sciences.

Kujawsko-Pomorskie Region and Saxony-Anhalt have been cooperating since 2018. Our regions have already held several high-level bilateral meetings and conducted joint aid initiatives for Ukraine.
