A Modern Water Purification Station in Golub-Dobrzyń County
Regional Executive Board Member Dariusz Kurzawa and Regional Parliament Councillor Paweł Zgórzyński took part in the ceremonial opening of the expanded water supply station in Gałczewo (Golub-Dobrzyń County). The investment was made possible thanks to funding from the 2014–2020 Rural Development Programme (RDP).
“Investments of this kind significantly improve living standards,” emphasizes Regional Executive Board Member Dariusz Kurzawa. “Modernizing water and sewage management systems means better water in our taps, but also care for the natural environment.”
The project included a comprehensive modernization of the water purification station in Gałczewo and the construction of a sanitary network in Białkowo. The total value of the undertaking exceeded 3.5 million PLN, with nearly 3 million PLN in RDP funding. Senator Ryszard Bober also took part in the ceremony.
A total of 5 million PLN has been allocated for water and sewage management investments in the Golub-Dobrzyń commune.
Under the 2014–2020 RDP, our region received 670 million PLN; we completed contracting at 700 million PLN (102% of the allocation, 2,700 funding agreements). We were able to obtain additional government funds dedicated to projects from the reserve list in the water and sewage management and small water retention segments.
