We are strengthening the safety of the region

Marshal Piotr Całbecki, Kujawsko-Pomorskie Voivode Michał Sztybel, Deputy Provincial Police Commander in Bydgoszcz Insp. Jacek Witas, and Kujawsko-Pomorskie Regional Fire Service Commander in Toruń Senior Brigadier Rafał Świechowicz signed on Friday (21 November) at the Marshal’s Office a letter concerning the expansion of the radiocommunication system, which will strengthen safety across our region.

Consistently supporting emergency services has been part of the regional government’s policy for many years. We invest in the infrastructural facilities of the services, support them in purchasing equipment that improves rescue operations, and finance training that raises competencies. We consider this our duty — the fulfillment of our mission to ensure the safety of the residents of our region,” said Marshal Piotr Całbecki. “We are aware that strengthening safety is an ongoing process that requires close, coordinated, and responsible cooperation among local governments, institutions, and uniformed services at all levels. Only through joint commitment is rapid and effective crisis response possible, and the expansion of the communication system, which we will carry out under the letter of intent signed today, is the foundation of our resilience and our ability to react quickly at any moment.”

The regional government has unique infrastructure that can serve national services for communication not only in crisis situations but also in everyday circumstances, including medical rescue,” emphasized Voivode Michał Sztybel. “Thanks to this cooperation, we will be able to create the most modern integrated communication system for all services in Poland.”
