EFKP: Preschools, Healthcare, Rescue Services, Recreation

Representatives of beneficiaries launching investment projects in the fields of healthcare infrastructure development and modernization, expansion and improvement of facilities for volunteer fire brigades, energy-efficient renovation of public buildings, as well as initiatives aimed at enhancing preschool education and urban recreation, received today (17 November) their funding agreements under our regional programme—European Funds for Kujawsko-Pomorskie (EFKP). The total value of the support allocated amounts to 25 million PLN.

This is yet another significant tranche of EFKP funding invested responsibly in projects that will best serve local communities. We highly value both the work of our programme implementation teams and the beneficiaries’ efforts in carrying out and settling their projects. Contracting in EFKP currently stands at 56%, meaning that 4.3 billion PLN has already been committed,” said Marshal Piotr Całbecki with satisfaction.

A grant of 2.2 million PLN was awarded to the urban-rural municipality of Lubraniec (Włocławek County), which plans to create a city park with a brine graduation tower, taking advantage of the area’s natural landscape qualities. The municipality of Sępólno Krajeńskie will receive 2.5 million PLN for comprehensive thermal modernization of buildings of local primary schools.
The municipality of Dragacz (Świecie County), planning to establish a local entrepreneurship incubator, has been awarded 1 million PLN for this purpose.

Among the beneficiaries are also:

  • Wojewódzki Szpital Specjalistyczny in Włocławek – 850,000 PLN for equipment upgrades in specialist care outpatient clinics;
  • Miejska Przychodnia Specjalistyczna in Toruń – 600,000 PLN for upgrading the physiotherapy department;
  • Two private medical centers in Bydgoszcz – a total of 1.7 million PLN for modernization and equipment purchases.

The funds now being released to improve the quality of preschool education—amounting to 3.3 million PLN in total—will go to the municipalities of Lubraniec, Obrowo and Łysomice (Toruń County), and Lubień Kujawski (Włocławek County).

Marshal Piotr Całbecki, Vice-Marshal Aneta Jędrzejewska, Board Member Marek Wojtkowski, and Regional Parliament Councillor Sławomir Kopyść met with beneficiary representatives today.
