Our Regional Airport Achieves a Record Result

The third quarter of 2025 was a record-breaking period for our regional Bydgoszcz Airport. In July, August, and September, it served 152,000 passengers – 20 percent more than a year earlier and 11 percent more than in the previous record year of 2019. The winter air travel season has now begun, and Bydgoszcz Airport (PLB) offers, among other things, better-timed connections to Warsaw, more flights to the United Kingdom and Ireland, as well as flights to Alicante in Spain and Marsa Alam in Egypt.

“The numbers speak for themselves – the last quarter was the best in the airport’s history. The Bydgoszcz Regional Airport is increasingly being included in the travel plans of people from our region, especially for holiday trips, as shown by the most popular destinations: Antalya in Turkey, Alicante, and Kraków,” said Marshal Piotr Całbecki. “I’m keeping my fingers crossed for reaching 400,000 passengers by the end of the year!”

Morning departures to Warsaw and evening returns make travel particularly convenient for those flying to the capital on business. LOT Polish Airlines offers such flights five times a week in its winter schedule. A new addition is a Wednesday afternoon connection: departure to Warsaw at 15:05 and arrival in Bydgoszcz from Warsaw at 14:30.

Changes also await passengers flying with Ryanair to the British Isles. The carrier’s aircraft will operate flights to Birmingham on Mondays, Thursdays, Fridays, and Sundays; to Bristol on Fridays and Sundays; to London Luton on Mondays, Thursdays, and Saturdays; to London Stansted on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays; and to Dublin on Mondays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. As usual, additional Christmas and New Year’s flights are planned – to Bristol on December 23 and 30, to Birmingham on December 24 and 31, to Dublin on December 18 and January 1, and to London Stansted on January 1.

The success of holiday destinations encourages airlines and tour operators to keep these routes in the schedule. Flights from Bydgoszcz to the Spanish resort of Alicante will be available every Thursday and Sunday. Charter flights to Marsa Alam in Egypt will operate from Bydgoszcz starting today (November 4), every Tuesday.

Flights to Frankfurt am Main, one of the world’s largest air hubs, will continue to be operated by Lufthansa. Satisfied with current sales results and promising forecasts, the German carrier will increase the frequency of its regular flights to and from Bydgoszcz to six per week starting in March.
