Completion of another modernization step of Bydgoszcz Hospital for Infectious Disease and Observation

Marshal Piotr Całbecki and vice-marshal Zbigniew Ostrowski are an honorable guests at the opening ceremony of newly modernized pavilion in the Regional Hospital for Infectious Disease and Observation complex in Bydgoszcz. Located in the pavilion will be hospital’s pharmacy and hospital’s administration. Self-government of the Kujawsko-Pomorskie Region is responsible for financing most of the process.

Complex of Bydgoszcz Infection Disease Hospital – modern and well equipped, employing high class specialists, setting standards in this segment of medicine – composes of 20th century buildings under conservation supervision because of their historical value. The pavilion being opened right now is one of these buildings. However, due to poor condition of the walls and ceilings, it had to be partly demolished and reconstructed.

Social rooms and warehouses are located on the enlarged underground level, hospital pharmacy on the ground floor, on the first floor, among others, lecture hall, second floor is the headquarter of administration. Last floor is a place for ventilation unit and heat pump. New elevation and architecture details help the pavilion to blend in with the already existing part of the complex.

Whole modernization was possible thanks to the budget of Kujawsko-Pomorskie Region, marshal’s special purpose vehicle: Kujawsko-Pomorskie Medical Investments and Hospital’s own funds. Investment budget amounted to nearly PLN 22 million.
