Golden Mill Awards for Cultural Animators

They create and promote culture, launch local community initiatives, engage creative youth, and provide spaces for people to pursue their passions. Cultural managers, animators, and patrons received the Golden Mill awards – the Kujawsko-Pomorskie Cultural Animation Prizes – on Wednesday (October 22) at the Voivodeship Cultural Animation Centre (WOAK). The awards were presented by Deputy Marshal Aneta Jędrzejewska and Chair of the Regional Assembly Elżbieta Piniewska.

I am deeply impressed by what you do in your communities. Every day you prove that creative activity doesn’t require huge concert halls — because the culture within you can flourish anywhere. Thank you for changing, sensitizing, and connecting our voivodeship. You are amazing!” – emphasized Vice-Marshal Aneta Jędrzejewska during the ceremony.

You must be brave, creative, and energetic. You must pursue your goals with determination,” added Chair of the Regional Assembly Elżbieta Piniewska.

The Golden Mill statuettes, created by Nina Marszałek, a graduate of the Faculty of Fine Arts at Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń, were awarded by the jury to:

  • Agata Kubajka, Director of the “Wahadło” Centre for Culture and History in Brześć Kujawski – in the Cultural Manager category (award funded by Marshal Piotr Całbecki)
