November in Kujawsko-Pomorskie Region Will Be Redolent with the Scent of Goose
We invite everyone to celebrate Poland’s National Independence Day in a unique culinary style. This year’s initiative, “Kujawsko-Pomorskie Goose for St. Martin’s Day,” is a celebration of flavors and traditions – from the Goose Festival in Przysiek, through the Goose Foodtruck touring the region’s towns, to workshops for young chefs and family competitions. Let’s cherish the delicious tradition of celebrating together and gathering around a family table full of Kujawsko-Pomorskie specialties.
– “In the Kujawsko-Pomorskie region, we have created a beautiful tradition. I am sure we will celebrate this day together joyfully and with pride,” says Marshal Piotr Całbecki.

Training for Young Chefs
As part of the initiative, a series of culinary workshops is held for vocational school students.
Young culinary enthusiasts learn modern techniques for preparing goose dishes, combining tradition with creativity and contemporary approaches to regional cuisine.
The workshops are organized as part of the Year of Children and Youth of the Kujawsko-Pomorskie Voivodeship, highlighting the importance of culinary education and the promotion of the region’s culinary heritage.
Workshops have already taken place at the Culinary-Hotel School Complex in Toruń, Technical School of Gastronomy in Włocławek, Culinary-Hotel School Complex in Bydgoszcz, Tuchola Center for Vocational Education, and the Kujawsko-Pomorskie Specialized Educational Center No. 2 in Bydgoszcz. Upcoming workshops will include students from the Agricultural School Complex in Przemystka, Culinary-Hotel School Complex in Inowrocław, and Culinary-Hotel School Complex in Grudziądz.
2025 Geese for Local Residents
As part of the initiative, media competitions were held, with prizes of goose carcasses donated by Marshal Piotr Całbecki. Portions of this delicious meat will be distributed to residents in 20 towns, symbolically celebrating family gatherings and the taste of Kujawsko-Pomorskie specialties.
Competitions and Fun for the Whole Family
There will also be attractions for children and families. We invite everyone to participate in the art contest “Sporty Goose,” where participants can win exciting prizes – art sets, books, board games, building blocks, and shopping vouchers.
Soon, a competition will also be launched for the most interesting story about spending time together enjoying goose dishes for National Independence Day. Families and rural women’s associations from across the region are invited to participate.
Details and contest rules will be published soon at: www.kujawsko-pomorskie.pl
“Time for Goose” – Nationwide Restaurant Initiative
In November, the “Time for Goose” campaign will take place again, with restaurants from across Poland participating. Goose dishes will appear on their menus – both classic and modern interpretations.
In previous years, over 200 restaurants took part, promoting Polish culinary tradition at its finest.
