“Sporty Goose” – a goose-themed art contest

“Sporty Goose” – an art contest as part of the “Kujawsko-Pomorskie Goose for St. Martin’s Day” campaign as every year, as part of the “Kujawsko-Pomorskie Goose for St. Martin’s Day” campaign, we are organizing two contests with prizes. One of them is the very popular art competition for children and young people. This year, participants are invited to use their imagination and create an artwork on the theme “Sporty Goose.” Soon, we will also launch a contest for the best reports from family celebrations of November 11th with goose dishes.

The theme of this year’s art contest, “Sporty Goose,” refers both to the successes of Kujawsko-Pomorskie athletes and to an important sports event that will take place in our region next year — the World Athletics Indoor Championships Kujawy Pomorze 26. It will be the biggest athletics event in the region’s history and the second of its kind in Poland.

We are looking forward to receiving artworks featuring the contest’s main character — the goose in a sports setting. The artwork can be created using any technique, but it must be two-dimensional and no larger than A3 format.

Every year, the jury of the goose-themed art contest faces a tough challenge in choosing the winners from among hundreds of submissions. I’m sure that this year you will once again surprise us with your creativity, and we will receive many unique drawings featuring the St. Martin’s goose in the leading role. I encourage everyone to take part — attractive prizes await you!
— Piotr Całbecki, Marshal of the Kujawsko-Pomorskie Region

Each participant may submit only one artwork. Entries should be sent between October 20 and November 7, 2025 (the date of receipt by the organizer counts) or delivered in person to the following address:

Marshal’s Office of the Kujawsko-Pomorskie Voivodeship
Plac Teatralny 2, 87-100 Toruń, Room 219
with the note “Goose Art Contest.”

Each submission must include parental or guardian consent (available as an attachment to the contest rules). On the back of the artwork, please write: the author’s name, age, contact details, as well as the name and phone number of the parent or guardian to be contacted in case of a win, and place of residence.

The competition jury will evaluate works in four age categories: up to 6 years, 8–10 years, 11–13 years, and 14–18 years. Winners in the two younger categories will receive material prizes (such as art kits, books, board games, and building blocks), while the older participants will receive shopping vouchers. We plan to hold an award ceremony at the Marshal’s Office, and winners will be notified by phone.

Soon we will also announce a contest for stories and photos showing how families and local Women’s Associations in our region celebrate Poland’s National Independence Day with goose dishes.
